مجھے یہ کیا پڑی ہے کون میرا ہم سفر ہوگا
کیا بات کروں جو باتیں تم سے کرنی تھیں
ہوتا نہ کوئی کار زمانہ مرے سپرد
ایک مدت سے اسے دیکھ رہا ہوں احمدؔ
اجنبی لوگ ہیں میں جن میں گھرا رہتا ہوں
شب ڈھلے گنبد اسرار میں آ جاتا ہے
میں خاک ہو رہا ہوں یہاں خاکدان میں
کسی کو چھوڑ دیتا ہوں کسی کے ساتھ چلتا ہوں
خاک دیکھی ہے شفق زار فلک دیکھا ہے
بات کرنے کا نہیں سامنے آنے کا نہیں
آتا ہی نہیں ہونے کا یقیں کیا بات کروں
آنکھیں بناتا دشت کی وسعت کو دیکھتا
