کل رات اک عجیب پہیلی ہوئی ہوا
جنوں کو رخت کیا خاک کو لبادہ کیا
جو ترے غم کی گرانی سے نکل سکتا ہے
جس سمے تیرا اثر تھا مجھ میں
جیسی ہونی ہو وہ رفتار نہیں بھی ہوتی
ہر ایک رنگ دھنک کی مثال ایسا تھا
غبار ابر بن گیا کمال کر دیا گیا

فلک کے رنگ زمیں پر اتارتا ہوا میں
دست بستوں کو اشارہ بھی تو ہو سکتا ہے
دشت و جنوں کا سلسلہ میرے لہو میں آ گیا
دشت میں وادئ شاداب کو چھو کر آیا
دریا میں دشت دشت میں دریا سراب ہے
بستی سے چند روز کنارہ کروں گا میں
اے تعصب زدہ دنیا ترے کردار پہ خاک
