کیا پوچھتے ہو شہر میں گھر اور ہمارا
کوئی جل میں خوش ہے کوئی جال میں
کیا ہے دل نے بیگانہ جہان مرغ و ماہی سے
کسی کا دھیان مہ نیم ماہ میں آیا
ہمیشہ دل ہوس انتقام پر رکھا
ہماری ہم نفسی کو بھی کیا دوام ہوا
گئے تھے وہاں جی میں کیا ٹھان کر کے
دنیا سے تن کو ڈھانپ قیامت سے جان کو
دل بیتاب کے ہم راہ سفر میں رہنا
دل آئینہ ہے مگر اک نگاہ کرنے کو
چاک کرتے ہیں گریباں اس فراوانی سے ہم
بارش کا ہے ایسا کال
اچھی گزر رہی ہے دل خود کفیل سے
آنسو کی طرح دیدۂ پر آب میں رہنا
آخر الامر تری سمت سفر کرتے ہیں
