ترک الفت کے بعد بھی اشفاقؔ
میری کم گوئی پہ جو طنز کیا کرتے ہیں
لگتا ہے کہ اس دل میں کوئی قید ہے اشفاقؔ
کسی کی شخصیت مجروح کر دی
فاصلے یہ سمٹ نہیں سکتے
چیخ اٹھتا ہے دفعتاً کردار
بکتا رہتا سر بازار کئی قسطوں میں
بہت بعید نہ تھا مسئلوں کا حل ہونا
عجب ٹھہراؤ پیدا ہو رہا ہے روز و شب میں
اب کسی خواب کی تعبیر نہیں چاہتا میں
زمیں والوں کی بستی میں سکونت چاہتی ہے
وہ مری جرأت کم یاب سے ناواقف ہیں
تم جو آ جاؤ غم دھواں ہو جائے
سب جل گیا جلتے ہوئے خوابوں کے اثر سے
جتنی ہم چاہتے تھے اتنی محبت نہیں دی
ہم ترے عشق میں کچھ ایسے ٹھکانے لگ جائیں
گئے دنوں کی رقابت کو وہ بھلا نہ سکے
دے کے وہ سارے اختیار مجھے
انا منہ آنسوؤں سے دھو رہی ہے
اب کسی خواب کی تعبیر نہیں چاہتا میں
