قَالَ رَبِّ اجۡعَل لِّىۡۤ اٰيَةًؕ قَالَ اٰيَتُكَ اَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلٰثَةَ اَيَّامٍ اِلَّا رَمۡزًاؕ وَاذۡكُرْ رَّبَّكَ كَثِيۡرًا وَّسَبِّحۡ بِالۡعَشِىِّ وَالۡاِبۡكَارِ﴿۴۱﴾
زکریا نے کہا کہ پروردگار (میرے لیے) کوئی نشانی مقرر فرما خدا نے فرمایا نشانی یہ ہے کہ تم لوگوں سے تین دن اشارے کے سوا بات نہ کر سکو گے تو (ان دنوں میں) اپنے پروردگار کی کثرت سے یاد اور صبح و شام اس کی تسبیح کرنا﴿۴۱﴾
He said: My Lord! Appoint a token for me. (The angel) said: The token unto thee (shall be) that thou shalt not speak unto mankind three days except by signs. Remember thy Lord much, and praise (Him) in the early hours of night and morning.﴾41﴿
